1 | Set yourself achievable goals to change
Setting yourself an achievable, specific goal gives you a much higher chance of achievement than a general, passing goal would. Write down your goals and stick them to your bathroom mirror or front door. That way you can remind yourself regularly of what you want to achieve. When setting your goals consider the ‘SMART’ System – Make it Specific, ensure that it is Measurable and Attainable, whilst being Realistic! The final step is to make it Timely and make sure you give yourself a time frame to achieve your goal within.
2 | Get involved!
Join a local group or club to find like-minded people with the same interests as your own. Surrounding yourself with people who have mutual interests is a great way to find encouragement through new friends. Positive people lead to positive minds and with a positive mind, you can achieve anything you set your heart to! Not only that but connecting with other people is a proven way to boost your happiness levels.
3 | Praise and encourage others
Whether it’s a simple smile and hello in passing, or a quick text to say you appreciate someone being in your life, a little bit of praise and encouragement is a sure fire way to create positive energy and change your attitude in general. Be the person you’d want to meet! The more you support others, the more likely they are to support you in return.
4 | Celebrate your bold changes
