Firstly, a huge congratulations to all of our entries for the first Slimmer of the Month competition for 2018! January saw some incredible results as always, and with the festive period not so long ago, this time of year can be even harder to stay on track.
However, the votes have been counted and the verdict is in. Meet your January 2018 Slimmer of the Month Winner…
Starting Weight: 22 st, 5lbs
Current Weight: 17 st, 5lbs
I have gradually learned that I CAN achieve anything I want to if I believe in myself!
What made you decide to lose weight?
“I felt I was a spectator in my own life, afraid to join in with the kids because everything wobbled, feeling I wasn’t good enough to push myself for things I wanted. I was suffering from a range of health issues affected by my weight including COPD and arthritis.”
“I reluctantly joined Exante, not believing I was good enough to succeed. But, after only a few months I was 5 stone lighter and my confidence started to come back! I started realising I wanted this badly, and for once the hunger wasn’t for food, but for life!”
When did you first notice a difference?
“I attended a staff meeting (bearing in mind, I work nightshifts so don’t see the day staff regularly) and the administrator didn’t recognise me! She honestly thought I was a visitor and gave me a seat to sit in until she could see to me! Her face was a picture when she twigged who I was!”
How did Exante fit in to your lifestyle?
“I am a night worker so the bars are perfect for avoiding those graveyard shift sugar cravings! I hate breakfast as I’m always too tired after 12 hr shifts, so a quick shake is perfect before I go to bed! I have a delight when I wake before work or a low carb meal if I’m having a Man Plan day!
“It couldn’t be more convenient! I choose on the day if I’m following TS or Man Plan and thoroughly enjoy the freedom and results this gives me!”
How has your life changed since losing weight?
“Apart from the obvious changes on the outside, I feel the biggest change is mentally! I have bags more confidence and self-belief. I am happier in myself as I can join in with the kids and don’t have to watch my life pass me by! For the first time ever I’M in CONTROL!”
“My work is not such a physical struggle and I still have bags of energy to walk home and walk the dog! For the first time in a long time I’m looking forward not being stuck in a rut Who would have thought that gaining control over eating habits and weight management could have such a snowball effect on the rest of your life!”
