Tried this yesterday, on day 1 of my TS diet - I was looking forward to the porridge but I was very disappointed. The only way I can describe it is like eating curdled milk and eggs! I can handle the flavour but not the texture. I really had to force myself to eat it, even using a glass of water to wash it down.
I normally love raspberry flavour products, but this isnt like porridge at all. Its like a spongy scrambled egg in texture, and very sweet in flavour. Its the texture that I cant stomach.
I enjoy most of the products that Exante do, and I really like the Apple and Cinnamon and the plain porridge. So when I noticed they did a raspberry one too, I thought why not get a few in and mix it up a bit? Unfortunately I there's something different about this porridge than the other two options, maybe I've not worked out the exact way of making it yet (hence the extra star because it might just be down to me), but it just doesn't taste as good as the other porridge options. It could be that it's just too sweet for me, as other reviewers have also said, but it didn't make me think of raspberries when I was eating it either sadly. Sure it was edible, but I like to enjoy what I'm eating and hopefully even forget that I'm on a diet in the first place, sadly though this didn't work for me. So if you're tempted, maybe get one or two to try, and see if you like it first before you go for a substantial amount.
Ooh what can I say this porridge is to die for..yummy yummy and more yummy..💞
I love the raspberry porridge. I love the taste and texture. Must order more
I love porridge but this meal was about average. Not a fan of the raspberry..prefer mine syrup flavour or plain. Was very sweet and made mine with skimmed milk (over 50 and like the calcium) so it was creamy enough. Just a bit bland..but inoffensive.
I liked the taste of the porridge, you can definitely taste the raspberry however when I first but the amount of water in it came out too runny of me so I think I will try reducing the water.
Whilst the taste was very nice had to modify the ammount of water on using subsiquent packets as first one was not as creamy and consistency not expected of a porridge
This is filling and nice if you fancy something hot
I really do like this. I think I had taken to the sweeter Exante options. I have tried preparing it in different ways...I would say stick to the recommended way. I did it without as much water and it ended up like raspberry scrambled eggs... I think this ends up like a sweet raspberry soup, with bits of porridge oats in it...x
I'm very pleased with all of the meals, but the best by far the is the Raspberry and apple and cinnamon porridges, and I have two a day and my husband says I will look like it one of these days.
I found it a bit sickly, much prefer the plain porridge, which was unavailable when I had a reorder.
The porridge is one of my favourites, I love the flavour of it. It keeps me feeling full for a good while too. I don't only eat it at breakfast time, I like it any time.
Oh dear. I really loved the Exante porridge and kept looking to see if it was back, as I ran out ages ago. I asked and was told 'December', then saw this and presumed it was the same, just with a raspberry flavour. So like a fool, I bought a box of 50 on a special offer. Bad move. It's absolutely nothing like their previous porridge. It's like a rather nasty sweet scrambled egg in taste and texture. I haven't even been able to finish the first bowl. I can only presume the supplier / formula has changed, but for whatever reason, for me it's quite inedible. Anyone want 49 packets of this? - I have them available!
Lovely and smooth and tastes really good and very filling.
I have been having Exante for a year now and have enjoyed nearly all the meals. I usually have porridge oats for breakfast but as they are out of stock I tried the raspberry version. This is not porridge at all. At best it is a desert but I tried it during the day and it still wasn't nice. The texture is wrong for porridge and the taste too sweet. I won't be having this again!
Great idea especially for the winter but it is far too sweet.
I have no idea how this is called 'porridge,' there was no porridge in it at all. It's like super-artificial raspberry flavour eggy semolina, which brought back horrid childhood memories of trying to endure the stuff. I did finish it by holding my nose and just swallowing the biggest spoonfuls I could manage. Did it in about 6 swallows. Don't think I will even attempt to eat the other pack that I bought.
Smells nice but the texture is not like porridge. It is too smooth and gloopy. Reminds me of baby porridge. The raspberry flavour is a bit overpowering as well. I only ordered this as the natural porridge is out of stock and so thought it was better than nothing. I won't be ordering this one again. I am new to this and realise you have to try different things until you find what you like for your taste buds ( I have really liked some other products just not this one).
This smells lovely but the texture is grainy and unpleasant and not porridge like at all. The taste is very average. The other porridges are lovely so this was a surprise. I did eat the 4 I ordered (as I don't waste food) but won't order any more.
