Exante Diet Simple Solution is a low calorie diet (LCD) which allows you to combine meal replacement products with calorie controlled meals. Simple Solution provides you with around 1200 kcal (calories) per day from 3 Exante meal replacement products as well as calorie controlled meals or low calorie diet snacks of around 600 kcal.

 

How does it work?

 

Simple Solution works by providing you with all the protein, vitamins and minerals you need from the products and allowing you the convenience of eating healthy foods in addition to these. Exante Diet products are restricted in their fat and carbohydrate content to allow your body to make energy from your fat stores. By choosing healthy foods to eat alongside the products you will lose weight. Some dieters like to choose low carbohydrate meals and snacks especially if they have been following Total Solution (Very Low Calorie Diet VLCD) and are using Simple Solution as a Food Break Week. This is because they want to stay ‘in ketosis’ others will use Simple Solution (Low Calorie Diet) to reach their target weight enjoying the flexibility of healthy meals whilst having the reassurance of sufficient vitamins and minerals.

 

Who can use it?

 

Simple Solution provides around 1200 kcal (calories) per day making it a Low Calorie Diet (LCD). It is ideal for someone who wants to lose weight with a flexible solution of meal replacements and healthy recipes. It is also a great way to learn about reintroducing healthy foods as part of the Food Break Week.

 

You must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of at least 20 to use Simple Solution. It is still important to check that you can use Simple Solution, by looking at our Medical Pages and talking to your GP.

 

What do I do?

tick Have three products a day – Choose from low calorie shakes, soups, porridge and bars.

The choice of product is up to you, some clients prefer shakes only and others prefer a mix of all products. Three products a day will give you 100% RDAs.

tick Choose how and what you want to eat using the meals and snacks on the Recipe pages

- You can have up to 600 kcal, made up of healthy low calorie snacks or meals.

tick Drink between 2-4 litres of water a day which can be flavoured with our drink mixes.
tick You can drink tea or coffee with milk, remembering to add this to your daily calorie allowance.

 

Food Break Week for Total Solution (VLCD)

 

tickHave three products a day – Choose from very low calorie shakes, soups, porridge and bars every day.

The choice of product is up to you, some clients prefer shakes only and others prefer a mix of all products (but we recommend no more than one bar a day as part of your three meal replacements). Three products a day will give you 100% RDAs

- You can have up to 600 kcal, made up of healthy very low calorie snacks or meals

tickYou can choose whether or not you want to have low carbohydrate meals to stay in ketosis.

If you do, look out for recipes with the K symbol.

(You can drink tea or coffee with skimmed milk, remembering to add this to your daily calorie allowance).

 

How quickly will I lose weight?

 

Everyone loses weight at different speeds. This is a low calorie diet (LCD) which allows you to eat conventional foods alongside the products, so you won’t lose weight as fast as when on Total Solution (Very Low Calorie Diet). However for many people it is a more realistic way to lose weight as it includes foods. It is also an important step on your way to returning to healthy eating once you have shed the weight you want.

Being more active will help your weight loss efforts as well as improve your mood and keep your muscles toned, but if this is your first time to exercise for a while, do check this with your GP first.

Will I feel hungry?

 

Protein is also more satiating than other nutrients so by following protein rich, low carbohydrate recipe suggestions any hunger pangs will be kept at bay. Additionally as you learn to eat a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables your stomach is likely to be fuller too.
