The 16th July 2009 was the day I started Exante™ Diet – I had spent a couple of weeks researching Total Meal Replacement diets. I have always been a big girl, at school I think I gained a stone a year once I got to secondary school. Approaching the big 50 gives you pause for thought and I had said I didn’t want to be fat and forty, nothing happened then and I was determined that was not going to be the case this time.
I ordered my packs which arrived on the Monday, hence the Tuesday start date, this seems an odd thing as most people seem to start diets on a Monday, I know I always did but somehow Tuesday has worked really well for me as a weigh-in day for some reason. I stuck to Exante 100% for over 4 months (using the add-a-meal weeks to make sure I was getting all the nutrients I needed) and lost weight every single week without fail. Some weeks were better losses than others but our bodies have a mind of their own some times and it is very important not to get discouraged.
3rd December – tried on 4 pairs of size 14 trousers – and they ALL fit – only bought one pair as not worth buying more the rate I am growing out of them!
In the zone, that’s the only way I can describe how I felt whilst doing Very Low Calorie Diet – I went right up to our works Christmas “do” on 4th December with not a single slip up and on the night stuck to water and low carb eating.
Exercise has become a very important part of my life, most of which is walking with my choccy Labrador Finn, and I have increased the amount I do every month as I felt able to. I know I need to continue with it to keep the weight off but the honest truth is I actually ENJOY it and can’t see me ever going back to being a couch potato.
I am now a size 8/10 and absolutely love it – and have no intention of going back to the hugely overweight and unfit person that I used to be. 50? Just a number now – bring it on!!!! Thank you to Exante and the goddess of willpower who came to me just at the right time.
