Drink plenty of water

Water is an appetite suppressant and the NHS recommends you drink plenty of water, and ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the day is important to your overall health. Also, sometimes we mistake dehydration for hunger, so staying hydrated could mean that you won’t fall into this trap of snacking when your body is actually craving water.

If you’re not a fan of plain water, why not mix things up with our yummy Water Enhancers, perfect for levelling up your drink game. Simply dilute 2.5ml into 250ml of cold water for a refreshing drink that’s only 3 calories!

Use smaller plates

Using smaller plates has been shown to help some people automatically eat fewer calories. (4) You may remember the days of being a little child, and being told by your parents or grandparents to finish everything on your plate? It has almost been ingrained into our minds that we must finish all the food on the plate. To avoid over-feeding yourself, why not try and offer yourself a smaller portion on a smaller plate? It’s a great method for people who struggle to recognise their hunger queues as it helps to control the amount you’re eating.

Take note of calories

If you are following exante 5:2,  we recommend you still take care to look at how many calories you are consuming, during your non-fasting days. Look at the packaging of products before buying, or before you go to a restaurant check out the nutritionals of the menu so you can make smart decisions.

exante meal replacements could support you with your weight loss goals for the Christmas party, but remember not to put too much pressure on yourself! Keep checking into our Facebook Closed Group for support over the festive season and how to stay focused on your healthy-eating goals.
