How many calories are in my favourite fruit?

If you are following the exante 800 plan,  the exante 1200 plan or the exante 5:2 plan, you may be interested in fruit for your healthy snack, but you also may be wondering ‘How many calories are in an apple?’ for example.

Using the NHS website, we found the average calories in a variety of popular fruits. Here is a list of 10 fruit, but if you want to find out any additional fruit for yourself, check out the NHS calorie checker website here.

How many calories are in an apple?

One average small apple weighs around 75g and one raw apple is 32 calories, on average. I wonder if an apple a day really does keep the doctor away?

How many calories are in a banana?

In one kids size banana, around 65g, without the skin, it is on average 52 calories. A sweet snack that is also a source of potassium which contributes to the maintence of normal blood pressure. (1)

How many calories are in an orange?

For 1 orange that weighs 100g, on average a peeled orange is around 36 calories. Oranges are a source of Vitamin C which contributes to the normal function of skin, teeth and bones. (2)

How many calories are in a honeydew melon?

A serving size of 100g of Honeydew Melon is on average 18 calories.

How many calories are in a peach?

For a serving size of 100g of peaches, it is on average 30 calories.

How many calories are in grapes?

If you grab a handful of 10 seedless green grapes, you are on average looking at 20 calories per serving. Grapes are such convenient snacks and you can also add them to your morning porridge pots.

How many calories are in a pear?

For 1 pear weighing 100g, it is on average 43 calories per pear. They are an easy snack to throw in your bag and enjoy at work.

How many calories are in a satsuma?

For one small peeled satsuma that weighs approximately 50g, it is on average 20 calories.

How many calories are in a grapefruit?

In one small grapefruit that weighs arounds 250g, it is on average 50 calories per serving.

How many calories are in a mango?

Mangoes are popular tropical fruits for their sweet and juicy taste. In one mango of a serving size of 100g it is on average 39 calories.
