Some of you have commented that the chilli beans were still a little hard so we’ve experimented this end and recommend the following for best results:
To use – Place the content of the pack in a bowl and add 200mls of hot water. Leave to stand for at least 5 minutes with a plate on top. Remove plate and then microwave on high for 2 minutes 30 seconds. Stir and then microwave for a further 2 minutes 30 seconds. Leave to stand for at least 2 minutes before consuming.

If you want to lose a tooth eat this!
Tasteless. No matter how long I "soaked" in hot water the red beans remained hard and nearly lost a tooth.

chilli con carne
I was very sceptical about trying the food products, and this was only the second one after the curry meal (which was delicious by the way). This product needs time and patience to get the consistency right but still takes less than 5 mins to prepare so cannot complain. If you get the timing and consistency right then its tasty as well as satisfying. If you don't then it is tasty but the texture would be too lumpy. I've got it right now and have had this meal up to 3 times a week - its not hard to follow a diet when you have so many choices at home that take less than 5 minutes to prepare
