I have all the vegan flavours delivered. Having only just started my Exante journey today the Banana bread flavour was an amazing start. Tastes like a banana muffin. Consistency is thick, like a protein shake. Looking forward to tasting the rest.
Love the bluberry, takes a little more shaking. Coffee and walnut, I add a spoon of coffee which I have added a very small amount of hot water. Perfect for the morning. Bananas I hate but love the banana bread, don't think the chocolate is very nice so I do add either some vanilla extract, just a dash . Or a cold coffee. Then it's ok. Would like a vanilla or plain coffee flavour .
I was hesitant about testing out these flavours after a reading a few of these reviews. However, these were lovely and came up nice and thick. I wasn't gagging at any of the flavours and they didn't leave an artificial or powdery after taste. Yummy! Would like to get some more when I next want to shed some pounds.
I mix these with water in a shaker and then leave them in the fridge for 20 mins to thicken up. The texture is fine, it’s like a fine porridge, but it makes you feel like you are eating rather than drinking so you feel full. The flavours are much better than I expected - blueberry is a bit full on and a bit floral, chocolate is nice, coffee and walnut is interesting, banana bread is definitely the best! Really finding it easy on the vegan shakes!
I have been looking for vegan shakes for a while and this popped up on my Instagram. I am lactose intolerant and trying to find a dairy free shake is hard! I ordered the bundle as I thought I could try all the flavours and decide which I like the best. I was very excited to try this. I have to say I am hugely disappointed. They all taste absolutely awful and the texture is just gross. They are thick and bitty and the taste of all of them is so strong and horrible, not even really sweet. Imagine if you had weetabix, poured milk on them so they soak it all up, left it for a week to go off and then blended it up with some sort of flavouring and added a bit of water. That is what these taste like, absolutely revolting. I have decided to just make my own shakes and count the calories to be 200 this is much tastier and smoother. I don't know if these actually went through a taste test when created as they really are that bad. Sadly because of being lactose intolerant I can't really have anything else at all from your range.
I wouldn’t say any shakes are nice but the vegan range is a lot more agreeable on the taste buds. Not only were the other shakes were too sweet but a nightmare as I am lactose intolerant!!! Will stick to the vegan range !!!!
About taste - Banana bread and Blueberry muffin are actually delicious, Double chocolate is okay but Coffee and Walnut is ugh. Structure almost like mixed oat smoothie, very nice. It is actually filling, I usually use it imstead of breakfast as I don’t have time for food prep in the morning.
For me, I found these too grainy and thick and the flavours were horrible... the chocolate one was passable as it covered some of the strange taste. I love the normal shakes and the ones with less sugar are ‘ok’ - I just wish there was something in between.
So happy to have found vegan shakes! Honestly can’t choose which is my favourite flavour. They are all delicious and taste like what they claim to be. I don’t feel “deprived” at all when I have these shakes as a meal replacement. I blend mine with water and ice.
I was very pleased to see these vegan shakes and even more so when I saw they were low in sugar as this is a concern of mine with a lot of the products Exante offer. Taste wise I was a little disappointed with the blueberry and coffee and walnut, but really liked the banana and chocolate flavours. All in all a success
