This is an odd product. It's exactly the same as the pancakes, but without the sweet taste. So plain, uninspiring pancakes. Didn't taste like eggs, cheese or bacon to me, aside from the pancakey texture. Needs herbs or spices or something to liven it up a bit. Trying to make it into a scrambled egg substitute instead only results in a kind of scrambled pancake affair. Perfectly edible though, but dull.
I can quite honestly say this is the most disgusting thing I have every eaten – there is no taste of cheese or bacon, it’s the texture of a flip-flop and it has a strange fine gritty taste. A good couple of hours later and I still feel sick. This is the first Exante meal I’ve tried as I am using the meals to reinvigorate my 5:2 diet which works a treat for me when I can stick at it. I hope to goodness the other stuff I bought is better than this – and I’ve six more of these to eat.
Really enjoyed this, made an omelette style pancake and had it for lunch with a sliced avocado and it was delicious
Loved them- Just shows you how everyone's tastes are different - I made these into small pancakes- and i really enjoyed them. They do have that processed cheese/ ham taste of something like a pizza pocket or a jambon- not real cheese and ham- but that was one of my guilty pleasures- so i really enjoyed it and going to stock up for those cravings!!
Easy to cook and smelt ok, but unfortunately I had to spit the first mouthful into the bin, as it had the same undertone of gone-off-vinegar that a few of the other products have
After being pleasantly surprised by how nice many of the shakes are, I wanted to try a few meals, just to make sure I don't get bored. I gave the cheese & bacon breakfast eggs a try. Wow. They're awful. They smell quite strong in powder form. I'm not sure what the smell is, but it isn't any of the foods named in the title. I went ahead and cooked, and it tasted of nothing. Very strange. I think I will return in exchange for pancakes as I tried the lemon ones and they're really nice. p.s. I could smell the same smell from the powder in my house for a couple of hours after throwing these away.
Exante, sorry guys but you really must be kidding! This product has the most revolting synthetic taste! Absolutely no resemblance to the flavour of egg, cheese or bacon at all. This is definitely one to give a miss.
This smells and tastes horrendous. It's the first product I've had to throw in the bin and then empty the bin because of the smell...
Save your money and choose something else - these are absolutely AWFUL ! l couldn't eat two teaspoons full of this. Picture is very misleading, it looks like some kind of gruel. Needs urgent development!
