Sorry found this totally inedible and tasteless plus the lentils are hard. Sorry! I’m sticking with bars and soups
Really lovely and convenient to take to work really enjoyed and leaves u full
I love the daal pot, it's so tasty and very easy and convenient for taking out to work etc.
Very tasty and very hot and spicy. I used this with Slim Rice. Can't eat really on its own as it doesn't really have substance. Makes a really good sauce consistency.
Meal Replacement Indian Daal Pot Meal was better than I thought it was going to be. Tasty and filling not too runny would recommend you try if you've not done so. Excellent for lunch at work quick and easy.
This is one of my favourite meals, tastes great, fab texture not to spicy and you feel like your eating real food
I found the pot to not have much flavour. I had high hopes for it so was disappointed. It left my tongue feeling a bit dry too. Even after adding some spices to try and make the flavours pop it wasn't really to my tastes so after a few mouthfuls I abandoned hope of finishing it.
I currently live on these for work. So handy to pop in your bag and go! Especially if you want something hot! Daal is one of my favourite foods anyway so this was always going to be a winner for me. Flavour is mild... thought I’m sure you could add in your own spice if you wish. If you want something with more of a kick I recommend the Indian style curry! That’s my Saturday night go to- delicious and filling
Very good product and tastes good. Just Felt once water added should be little thicker and not as watery
I think one of the issues with the pots is the inclusion of soya, presumably to get the protein levels up. Dried soya is pretty chewy, even if you do leave it in hot water to steep for the recommended time. That said, this pot wasn't too bad - the lentils outweighed the soya on taste and there was a nice balance of spices. It's not 'spicy' (if some people are worried about that), it's just got a more interesting array of flavours that VLCD meals generally do. I added a little cracked black pepper and some chili flakes as I like more spice. All in all a convenient lunch-time pot.
