Possibly the worst inedible glutinous mass I've ever seen. Had to dispose of half of it as it was inedible. No discernible rice - just a curried paste. Quite horrible.
Ok I was surprised how decent these actually tasted - a bit like the curry you get from the chippy. I had them with my 200 calories of 'low carb' vegetables mixed with the Naked Noodles. It was a huge plateful and I quite enjoyed it and would certainly have again. The curry was quite spicy though so next time I think I'd omit the chilli from the vegetables.
I tries this curry as it is hightly advertised throughout the website. The smell is amaing however the taste is horrendous, don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting it to take like a takeaway one but it was truly horrendous!!
The flavour was great and had a nice thick sauce. The only real letdown was the "rice". Although pretty much non existent the bits that were there were hard and bitty. Decided to bulk it out a bit with some cauliflower rice which made a huge difference and made the dish feel complete.
ordered 2 of these to try. forced myself to eat one and gave the other away to a colleague to try.
I tried 1 of the 7 that I bought thinking you can't really go wrong with a curry? Definitely not for me, unpleasant to look at & a very unpleasant taste.
I thought I might get something resembling an Indian curry. I tasted it, added seasoning, some curry paste and lots of other bits and pieces. Absolutely nothing helped. It’s got a weird texture and bits of crunchy rice, even after leaving it hoping the rice would soften. Not a hope. So far, the meals have been really disappointing, shakes definitely are the winners with this diet.
The texture of this meal was horrible. Gluey, sickly sludge with no bits to chew. Slight curry flavour. Smelt reasonable while cooking so doubly disappointing. The Dahl pot was much nicer and the sweet and sour noodles, while tasting like nothing I have ever eaten before, are quite palatable and remain my favourite savoury meal.
This was in my opinion almost as good as the Indian Dahl pot, but not quite. Definitely will have again. I thinned it down a little more so that it was like a thick soup and it has a nice taste, not too spicy.
I'm on 3 meals a day and I've only just started with exante so haven't tried every meal yet. Tonight was Indian style curry with rice. I was looking forward to it because I'm hungry but expected it to be meh and bland... I was really suprised. It's actually spicy! Which is great for me :) tasty and was not bland at all. I think this is going to be my new favourite. Love it considering how healthy and tasty it is.
