Do not buy the hot meal / savoury replacements, they are all foul and inedible, the smell is particularly revolting. Look nothing like the picture. This is by far the WORST flavour.

Pretty bad but can be improved!

As someone with a passion for good food (a passion that has unfortunately lead to me needing this diet) I've found most of the savoury meals so far rather unpalletable so I've taken to doing my best to find ways to improve them without impacting the calorific value: I find a lot of these savoury meals incredibly sweet in a rather unpleasant way, so for this, I would reccomend adding the following: -A pinch of salt -A good amount of white and black pepper to your preferences -A bit of garlic and/or onion powder -A tiny bit of smoked paprika If you have or want them, the following would make a vast difference in palletability in addition to the first: -Bacon flavour/seasoning powder (trust me) -Hot sauce or spicy seasoning, I use Japanese 7 spice (Shichunu Togarashi) as it's a blend of spices that compliment the unfortunate baseline sweetness of this packet If you are willing to add extra calories to this dish, it would benefit from either one of or a mixture of the following: -Diced spring onions, leeks or similar vegetables -Broccoli (pretty optional if you're not fond of it, but it would really round out the flavour, texture and balance of ingredients) -Meat (pork, chicken or turkey would be the most viable with this, especially if cured, or well marinaded) -A small amount of Mayonnaise (trust me!) -Grated mature hard cheese (parmesan or a good cheddar would be my suggestions, though a strong blue would help mask some of the unpleasent taste and would go especially well with the addition of broccoli) As with a lot of the savoury meals especially it's been quite a "hold your nose" venture, there is a sickly sweet odour and taste to all of the savoury foods which is due to the use of whey protien- it's really not great for those who enjoy good food, but it's a fun challenge to make these meals a little less... Unpleasent. Hope this helps someone out who might need it! I'll be adding similar comments to the other meals as I try them.

Awful Taste

I wasn't expecting much after seeing reviews, but I'm pretty good at managing to finish a meal that's not thrilling, and had certain expectations in mind of what this would taste like having had similar in the past. It was awful! It's how I imagine rust to taste like. It's a horrible texture so I would recommend putting a little more water in as it near solidified within 20 seconds of coming out of microwave. I sadly had to throw it in bin after a few mouthfuls and have a bar instead.

Surprisingly Good

I’ve seen a lot of terrible reviews for this, but I enjoyed it. It’s got the most minuscule pieces of spaghetti in, so don’t expect an actual carbonara. It’s more like a thick, cheesy soup with a smoky flavour

I would rather starve

This is the worst meal of any diet plan I have ever tried. It was so bad I made another one as thought i must have done something wrong but no.... just awful sludge

Tip to make it better

Must admit my first taste of this dish i had to agree with others that is wasn't that great but now it is one of my favourite meals. I have adapted it by mixing half a stock cube with 200ml of water (50ml more then stated) & once cooked mixing it with some zero carb low cal noodles , this gives a more substantial evening dinner but still less then 230 calories so well within my budget . Can't wait to try the same method with the spaghetti bolognese.

Not nice

This was just about edible, I ate it because I was hungry, smelt amazing abs cheesy and reality was nothing like it looked when I ordered it or hoped it might taste!

It's not very nice

Very synthetic tasting. Odd texture and look. Again with a fiar few products so far, powdery taste in the mouth. Don't order unless you like slightly sweet tasting synthetic food.

The only main meal I like.

Over the years I have tried many of the Exante main meals & this is the only one I like. I love all the bars & a lot of the soups, but in my opinion most of the meals leave a lot to be desired. This one is tasty & filling.

The worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, and I ate mud as a child.

Now I’m not fussy by any stretch of the imagination, and have had my fair share of meal replacements but this monstrosity must’ve been created by Satan himself! It tastes like cloves which have been marinated in sweaty socks, left to fester in bin. Now, I know you might think I’m being a little dramatic, but never in my life have I had a meal as bad as this. Save yourself some money and buy the lemon pancakes instead- they’re delightful. Kindest regards From a very hungry customer.
