Nice and Creamy

I actually prefer this porridge to your average oats! They come out super creamy and are very filling! I feel that the water amount instructed is a little bit to much but I actually like that consistency, so modify it as you wish. You can also add a bit of the zero sugar syrup on it to give it a bit of a twist. Lovely breakfast/lunch option

Trial and error

Like some of the other meals, how thick or runny you like it is personal choice and if you find the taste is OK, experiment with the amount of liquid. I sieve out a spoonful of the milky powder and add one of oatmeal. 4 x 1 minute in the microwave then skim off the over sweet froth. Leave for a minute then add some blueberries. It might seem a bit of a faff but it's still quicker than making porridge from scratch and I find it quite pleasant.

Great breakfast!

I really enjoyed this meal - the taste reminded me of readybrek, not too sweet but not bland. It was very thick when made as per instructions but was great with a bit of extra water! I also found it very filling which was great.

Very sweet, vanilla, Cook in pan

I quite like porridge, and like most of the meals, soups etc, I cooked this in a pan, for a better result. It was very runny, but thickened up after several minutes. I thought it was quite nice, although it tasted of vanilla, and then I realised how sweet it was. If you have a sweet tooth this is ideal, if cooked in a pan, for the rest of us, leave out the sucralose. It was too sweet for me to try again.


these are nothing like porridge oats the texture is very think and gloopy, taste is very sweet.

A little piece of heaven!

I was wary of trying the porridge oats, as I'm very fussy about my porridge. This is more like ready brek than true porridge, but it is gorgeous and yummy. I'm not big breakfast eater, so the porridge oats are on my list of 'afters', to have after dinner as a treat. A little piece of heaven!

Sweetness overload

Really not impressed with this. It is the sweetest product I have tasted, way too sweet for me. I love having a porridge option, and it would be great if Exante created an unsweetened version. Top tip would be to use less water than the pack states, or it is more like soup! Will not reorder this.

Too sweet for me

If like me you love porridge, don't buy this expecting it to be like the real thing, both the flavour and texture are very different. It's okay at best, quite filling but it somehow manages to be thin and very sticky at the same time, and for me unbearably sweet. I wont buy this again unless there is an unsweetened version, it's so sweet I wont even finish the ones I have bought.

My go to breakfast!

So I’ve tried these before with no success, they overspilled in the microwave - but I kept hearing how good they were so I gave it another try, this time using a big glass jug, so as not to overflow. They are dreamy ! So delicious and creamy, do not taste like diet food, intact almost feels like I must be cheating ! But please make sure you use a high bowl, the porridge rises significantly when cooking.

Perfectly Plain Porridge

I love this product! As my routine is 2 Shakes, a meal at 6 and a bedtime bar, I often have porridge for my “meal” and I find it tasty as is, or perhaps adding a few berries.
