This was really tasty and definitely didn’t have any hard beans but I made sure I left it to soak in the hot water for a good 10 mins before adding a little bit more water and then microwaving it.
Having tried the Mexican Rice (which is terrible) I wasn't expecting much from this but actually this was quite nice. It has a bit of spice and heat to it and also a bit more variety in its texture, given that it is a packet meal. Happy to reorder this product and so far its my evening meal of choice...
Now this one does taste like its supposed to - soak in hot water for at least 10 mins before microwaving or your kidney beans will be like bullets but it tastes really good and is surprisingly filling. Exante DON'T change this one - I can't eat the Shepherds pie or the Indian curry since you changed the recipe, please please don't change this one.
I'm new to exante and this is one of my favourite products I tried, so tasty, surprisingly filling and doesn't feel like diet food at all.
I love spicy food and this was great. Not quite to my spicy palette as it's quite mild. Soon sorted that with a dollop of hot sauce. Tried some cauliflower rice with it last nice and it filled me right up.
Tasty meal, would recommend it, but soak for a little longer than it says on the packet otherwise you have crunchy kidney beans!
Another it's ok review. On the plus side it lacks the artificial taste that many of the products have and smells ok. The taste itself is fine and if you soak in boiling water at first the beans were hydrated. The negative is it is visually totally unappetising, its a sort of orange mush, not much of it. I am very much a home cook so these sorts of foods are a desperate to drop weight quick measure for me but to be honest a home cooked veg soup would be very few calories and much more tasty. The danger I guess is portion control which this offers. will eat the ones I have but doubt I would order more. ... The taste is fine to be fair but the consistency and colour not so good
As long as you let it sit for a while to rehydrate, this is really tasty. I'd prefer more, but that's why I am overweight!
This is my favourite meal, really nice & spicy. I always leave mine to soak for at least 10 minutes before cooking, to soften the beans, as they can be quite hard.
Easy to make, although I would advise extreme caution after 2 minutes in the microwave it's molten hot!! I added the water and left it to stand for a few minutes then I watched it like a hawk in the microwave to stop it overflowing. It is a decent sized portion that tastes like chilli. I've had it a few times now and I really enjoy it, I love that I can sit down with the family and have a meal so it doesnt feel like I'm dieting and so that the kids don't ask why mom's not eating. As an added bonus if I'm feeling abit "bunged up" it works like a dream by the following morning, gentle but reliable!!! Sorry about the toilet talk but as constipation can be an issue for some on this diet I feel it's an important point to make.
