Mixed review as 1. nothing like photo, no resemblance what so ever 2. followed instructions but carrot bits were hard. Needs longer soaking? I'd describe the prepared dish as a slush with not much taste. Added tabasco, ras el hanout and a sprinkling of Hungarian paprika. Result, edible and filling.
Ordered these for a meal, but so far this is the only Exante product I have tried that isn't very nice. Awful texture, like watery instant mash with stock cube flavouring, reminds me of school dinner. Sorry Exante, but I won't recommend this. I tried adding a few veggies (very few) on the bottom with a tiny bit of cut up chicken breast and this on top, but it's still revolting.
It looks like something the dog puke up eat it again and it also has that strange taste you put in everything.
Love all the products I’ve purchased Indian curry is my favourite ❤️
Unsure at first. But great smell. Loved the taste and very filling
I love this product when given time to soak, and with an oxo cube mixed in. Then it tastes like a meaty shepherds pie, with a consistency like it has mashed potato mixed in. You can have it a lot thinner, but personally I like it thicker. Good meaty and most importantly filling.
No wonder this product doesn't show its review score! Clearly, the addition of the potato flakes is what kills this product as it ends up in a big sludge. The taste isn't great either. I wouldn't feed this to a baby or an old man with no teeth, and it certainly ain't ever going in my mouth again. These are the only packets that instantly went in the bin after trying the first one... They sell boxes of 50 of these, lol!
I think some of the reviews are a little harsh. This is way better than any of the cheesy stuff on offer from exante! More like a flavoured mash than a stuffing (as some people have commented). One of the more filling things in the range
Honestly it wasn't that bad, I mix my shepherd's pie with the mash anyway and it was very similar texture and visual to that. Considering its mixed from a packet with water I was impressed!
