Heavy but good

Like airline food
1It is very hard to make cooked powdered egg taste nice. I tried this with my daughter and had to give up and bin it. I didn't mind too much - I had ordered at least 20 different types of packs in a multi-buy offer and was totally prepared to love some and dislike others. I really like the chocolate cookies which are surprisingly filling and see me through until lunch time, the apple and cinnamen porridge and the red bean chilli.

Edible.. just
2The Breakfast eggs are just about edible. I needed to put lots of extra seasoning in them in order to give them any flavour. I put in onion powder, parsley and thyme and that made the eggs just about edible. A little bit tacky but ok.

Real food
4Cooked as an omelette these are a nice change, I do tend to add lots of herbs and have with a green salad for a weekend lunch.

Not bad
4This was actually not so bad. The texture was spongy light and fluffy. I made this into an omelette and the size was exactly the same as if you'd crack up a real egg omelette. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars because I really wanted cheese in there. That was only my preference and nothing to do with the actual product. If Exante could possibly make a cheese flavour that would be good for us vegetarian eaters! Otherwise I would recommend it.

My Breakfast
5Very impressed with this product, quick and easy to cook. The taste and texture are almost like the real thing. They are filling so I actually feel like I've eaten something substantial, forgetting that I'm actually dieting!!

Edible
4I am not a huge fan of eggs and would struggle to eat a normal omelette but these are strangely nice. Reminds me of sponge / bread but I could happily have them every morning

5The taste is great, look just like a pancake, only take a few mins to prepare and a min or so each side, one of my faves

Great as scrambled eggs
5Okay, so they are not the same as real eggs, but given enough seasoning they are nearly as good. I add a little more water to the mixture, maybe 15-20ml and make it up as scrambled eggs rather than an omelette. For my taste, they are a bit bland so before cooking I either grind in black pepper or a few drops of Encona hot pepper sauce and grind in a tiny bit of Himalayan pink salt, but regular salt would do just as well. It just makes it feel a bit more special. Once nearly cooked I usually add a couple of chopped chive blades but I know that is slightly off plan.

Breakfast eggs
4So it's not exactly poached egg on toast with cheese on top !! However - it's filling - makes a change and yummy with seasoning. I enjoyed and would eat again. Especially when the others are having a cooked brekkie - I feel I can join in without it looking measly!!
