Not too bad if you microwave!!
3Well I was excited to order this as I love flapjacks..... But the smell of this once opened was dreadfull and it was like a brick and very dry!! So I decided to microwave for 10 seconds and wow what a difference!! It was soft and the choc chips melted slightly which gave it a great flavour the smell was still a little off putting put get past that and it is quite a tasty bar.

Love Exante, but not this.
1I love this plan I find it really easy and I was excited to try this. However, this is not a flapjack. It is more a protein type "bar" but the flavour is awful and the smell is even worse. The bar is huge, heavy but very dry. Such a shame, I hope they rethink this bar or change the recipe. I would hate for someone new to Exante to have this as their first meal and be put off. Such a shame.

Just nasty
1I realise everything is down to personal taste, but blimey, I would rather eat the cardboard box they came in. Bland, very dry, with a texture that is just indescribably nasty. I bought quite a few as they sounded so nice, so am having to nibble them slowly with a cup of coffee to make them bearable.

Basically dwarf bread
4In the works of the great, late Terry Pratchett it is often stated that a traveller in possession of dwarf bread will never go hungry. This is because anything is preferable to eating dwarf bread. This product is like that. It doesn't taste bad exactly, being not too sweet and pleasingly nutty (rather like me), although the aftertaste lingers a bit. But, ye Gods, it is hard to get through. It is very dry and a little bit tough, and very closely textured--which renders it extraordinarily heavy, both in the mouth and in the stomach afterwards. I've been attempting to eat it since 12:05 today and have still not managed (it is now 14:52 and I have 90% of the object left). On the plus side, I am not hungry and have already consumed about 2l of water. Additionally, from a psychological perspective one of the problems with meal replacements is that they are over and done with far quicker than an actual meal which, even if you're not hungry, can leave you with a vaguely unsatisfied feeling. I am far from unsatisfied. In fact, I have essentially been eating my lunch for nearly three hours. I recommend this product for people who want an adventure. Or struggle with having wolfed down their products.

4I hadn’t viewed the reviews before ordering & was surprised to see a few bad ones after eating my flapjack. I found it to be very filling & tasty. You could definitely taste the maple syrup & the nuts in it were a lovely find. Will be ordering more x

3After reading the reviews I expected this to be horrible but I was suprised It was quite nice reminded me a bit of the cookies texture so worth a try !!!

Horrible
1As a previous reviewer said, this is not a flapjack. It's a horrible, dry, crusty, heavier-than-lead biscuity lump of nasty. It has a weird texture and aftertaste. Not for me.

Not a flapjack, not very nice
1Flapjacks should have texture, this is just a homogeneous mass. Flavour isn't particularly distinctive. What you get is a brown craggy foodstuff that tastes of non descript sweet.
