yum, yum, yum
5I am now on Exante maintenance and got these for the first time. Oh they are delicious. I found no trouble making them but I do have good ceramic no stick pans. If you can make pancakes you can make these. I made three small ones and they were simple to make and tasted so good. I will buy even when I am not dieting because they are good to have in the cupboard for when you fancy a treat.

Yummy Pancakes

Impossible to cook
1I tried to cook some this morning as a treat and it was a disaster. They just ended up looking like scrambled eggs and they wouldn't cook. I had to throw the whole lot in the bin and have something else.

Not bad really
3I tried the pancakes today and was quite pleased with them. These pancakes are not like the crepes i make but more like the American thick buttermilk style. They are really sweet. The cooking of them could be tricky if you dont have a good quality non stick pan. I would reccommend making two pancakes minimum. Im not sure if they are worth the effort but if you have a real craving for pancakes then they'll do the trick. The only down side is the bitter after taste on the back of your tongue. It didn't go even after a hot drink. Had to brush my teeth again to counteract this aftertaste.

5I got these as part of the Sam Bailey box I ordered a couple of weeks ago, and they were so nice, I've ordered more! I used to have pancakes slathered in maple syrup at weekends for breakfast - but now on the Exante diet, I can still have my pancake treat!

Really rather good
4I found them a bit tricky to get right at first, burning on the outside and raw in the middle, deffo make 2 rather than one large one, lower temp for longer time is the key I think.. I added some fresh lime juice to give it a bit of welly and I enjoyed it :)

2The taste is ok, but the texture is heavy. Inside once cooked it's like eating thick wallpaper paste.

So good I'd eat them not on Exante!
5I'm not a fan of the savoury options offered by Exante. I have tried a few but nothing has stuck so I end up limited to shakes and the occasional bar. I'm totally ok with this and it doesn't really feel like a limitation because I love the thick shakes so don't normally miss 'hot' food but then I tried these pancakes! WOWZA! These blew my socks off. This is also from someone who is not the biggest fan of Maple Syrup! The syrup flavour is subtle, enough to flavour the pancakes but not enough to overwhelm or be sickly. In fact straight off the griddle and piping hot they're borderline savoury in taste so they almost satisfy both needs. Or maybe that was just me craving something 'hot' and not realising it! I made three pancakes instead of one or two so I had a little mini stack and personally I like my pancakes well done so I cooked for a little longer than suggested but otherwise I followed the directions to a T and these were perfect. Sign me up for pancakes EVERY DAY. Cannot recommend these enough.

5i love these pancakes. They taste like other maple syrup pancakes. I can forget I'm eating diet food as they taste so good.

5Loving the maple syrup pancakes. I find they fill me up in the morning making it so easy to last till lunchtime. Simple to make and great testing. Will be ordering more! Im now 14lbs down in 2 weeks.Loving the diet and the choices.
