5This is my favourite meal in the VLCD range. Tastes great, is quite filling and is really easy to prepare. My personal tip is to leave it at least 5 minutes. The longer you leave it the thicker the consistency.

India Daal Pot Meal
5Good flavour - I add a dash of Tabasco sauce. Brilliant and easy to take along with you to friends for your lunch or supper as all you need to do is add the boiling water. You feel full afterwards and has a nice texture.

Indian Daal pot
3I have mixed feelings about this one. The negatives are I found it to have a weird and slightly unpleasant aftertaste. It can be watery so use water sparingly and let it stand for a good few minutes before eating. However the positiives are that it feels like proper food, with real rice and lentils in there. It was very substantial as well, taking a long time to eat! Definitely improved by adding black pepper and a bit of chilli to it. I will be buying a few more as it'll be good for when sitting down at the table to eat a meal with friends and family, it just wouldn't be one I'd want everyday.

Not for me
1The only one so far I couldn't stomach. Really enjoyed the sachet curry but not this one. Took a while to thicken up and the contents were still stiff. Taste and texture was just off. Sorry Exante, the only meal so far I really disliked!

Brilliant!
5I really enjoyed this. Very tasty and filling, smells wonderful, and so easy to make! Ideal for work. This is a definite hit and is top of my list so far. Not too spicy.

Daal pot meal
3Pot noodle style tea tonight....easy to prepare...smelt ok...bit watery when ready but also lentils a little hard so may have needed cooking in the microwave for a minute or so :(....ate 3/4 then found it a little sickly...prefer the spag bol and indian style curry if I am honest!

5this meal is lovely and flavoursome whilst still keeping you on plan, it is easy to make and tastes lovely

5Was dubious about trying this, but it more than exceeded expectations. Fantastic texture and taste - feels indulgent and a bit naughty! Def going to be one of my staples.
