We did it! The dark, gloomy January days are behind us and we’re ready for a fresh start in time for February. For many of us, January can be a difficult time to stay on track with healthy living; what with the leftover Christmas chocolates, dark days and gloomy weather, it’s hard to stay motivated. That’s why we’re so excited to welcome in a brand-new month, complete with our NEW #FreeFromFeb campaign!

If you’re anything like us, you’ll be using February as the time to kickstart your new healthy lifestyle and refocus on YOU! So, in honour of a refreshing and revitalising start to a new month, we’re going free from for February.

What is #FreeFromFeb?

This February, we’ll be going “free from” different things, all in the name of helping you find a new, more refreshed you. Each week, we’re focusing on different alternatives and smart swaps to help you explore what works for YOU.

  • Week 1: This week is all about those snacking smart swaps, switching out naughty treats for more nutritious alternatives.
  • Week 2: Ever wondered what it’s like to be plant-based? Join us for Week 2 where we’ll be saying goodbye to animal products and hello to yummy vegan alternatives.
  • Week 3: This week is all about ditching the hangovers and saying hello to fresh mornings when we go free from alcohol.
  • Week 4: End the week on a sugar-free high with us as we swap our usual favourites for low sugar alternatives.

But what does free from mean?

When foods or drinks don’t contain certain ingredients, they can be classified as “free from”. For example, you may have heard the phrase “free from gluten” while you’re doing your weekly shop, this just means the product has been tested for gluten and officially has no gluten containing products within it.

For February, we want to celebrate being “free from” unhealthy food and drink and explore our dairy, meat, sugar and alcohol-free products.

Is going “free from” good for me?

We want you to go “free from” to help YOU feel ready to take on the month ahead. But there are plenty of suggested health benefits that come with cutting down on unhealthier options and switching to cleaner living...

Some benefits of cutting down on sugar include:
  • Glowing skin
  • Reduced risk of diabetes
  • Longer lasting energy(1)
Going free from meat can help your body by:
  • Lowering your cholesterol levels
  • Lowering your blood pressure
  • Helping you to control your calories (2)
Taking a step back from the booze can offer plenty of benefits, including:
  • Reduced risk of heart disease
  • Better sleep
  • Better memory
  • Improved immune system(3)

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on our blog page over the next few weeks to find out even more about going “free from” and its benefits!

Calling all Chocaholics...

Are you a chocolate fiend? It can be so tricky to keep those hands off the choccy treats- especially during those cosy winter nights in. That’s why we’re mentioning our absolute favourite chocolate alternative; the Dark Chocolate & Cranberry Snack Shots. A mixture of dark chocolate chickpeas, pumpkin seeds and real died cranberry pieces, this 99 calorie vegetarian delight is the ultimate way to feed those chocolaty cravings.

One for the savoury snackers

Can’t keep away from crisps and other salty savoury snacks? Check out our savoury Snack Shots, available in Sweet Chilli & Honey and Buffalo flavours. Just like the Dark Chocolate & Cranberry flavours, both shots are under 100kcal and are a nutritious way to feed those cravings- they’re even a great source of protein, too!

Let them eat cake...or not!

We all know how tricky it is to avoid cake, that’s why we’re turning to our trusty Snack Bites this February. Available in yummy Carrot Cake and Lemon & Coconut flavours, these 100 calorie protein balls are the perfect way to get that healthy cake fix, without compromising on flavour. Totally plant-based and made with real ingredients, we know you won’t be able to resist these taste sensations this Feb.

We hope you’re feeling inspired for the first week of #FreeFromFeb- we certainly are! Remember, we love to see your progress, so be sure to tag us in all your posts on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #FreeFromFeb- we can’t wait to see how your February goes!
