Why has the recipe changed?

You asked, we listened! At exante, customer feedback and satisfaction are our number one priority. That’s why our product development team have been working hard behind-the-scenes to develop a new recipe with even better benefits, based on your feedback.

What’s new?

  • Our new shakes are now contain >9g less sugar than the previous recipe
  • We’ve added prebiotics, meaning they are gut friendly*
  • Protein content was 17g per serving, and is now 20g per serving
  • Fibre was 2-4g and is now 4-6g per serving
  • Salt was 0.7g and is now 0.5g per serving

Plus, the addition of gut-friendly prebiotics help to increase good bacteria in the gut to aid digestion and improve metabolic health (1).

Why have you removed some shake flavours?

2023’s main focus is to optimise our product line, to ensure our customers’ favourites are prioritised, and simplifying the supply chain to ensure a more reliably-stocked website.

As part of our drive to optimise a much-loved product line, we are discontinuing some shake flavours to make way for the new shake range. After extensive customer research, including a focus group and private tasting panel, your feedback has been crucial to our decision making.

We really hope that you fall in love with the improvements we’ve made to our shakes!

With less sugar, are the new shakes still sweet?

Yes – no need to worry! The original and new recipe both contained an artificial sweetener called ‘sucralose’, which is naturally sweeter than real sugar. The new shakes have less skimmed milk powder (which contains sugar), but our food development team have worked tirelessly through recipe trials and customer feedback to ensure they still have their distinct delicious flavours.

Has the taste and texture changed?

Our shakes are still deliciously creamy, but you may notice a slight texture difference. This is because we’ve removed the skimmed milk powder, to significantly reduce the sugar content. At exante, we don’t mind a minor texture change to achieve such a big nutritional change of >10g less sugar.

Try for yourself!

Now that we’ve shared the amazing new benefits of our shake range, there’s only one thing left to do…try for yourself. Available individually as sachets or within the 2 and 4 week diet box plans.
