Whether that’s doing your research up front or planning out your meals weeks in advance, we all want to make sure we get it right so that we can succeed. We talk a lot at exante about the right ways to help you towards your weight loss goals, but today we want to highlight some of te biggest weight loss mistakes that are so easily made, you don’t even realise…

Biggest Weight Loss Mistakes You Could Be Making

Having Unrealistic Expectations

This is a common weight loss mistake we’re probably all guilty of – expecting to see a difference in how we look and feel after just a few days of following your diet plan. When we don’t see the results we want, it can be a whole lot easier to give up on things too. That’s why it’s important to manage your expectations when it comes to weight loss – accept that you’re not going to see results straight away, and that’s okay. Be patient and keep going!

Focusing on the Scales

While it’s great to track your progress, it can be very easy to get a little too preoccupied with the number on the scales. Put the scales out of sight and only get them out once a week when to track your weight. And make sure you put them away again! Remember, your clothing and measurements are the best indicators when it comes to weight loss!

Protein and Fibre Intake Too Low

Not getting enough protein and fibre is another common weight loss mistake. That’s because both protein and fibre play important roles in weight loss. We know that protein has a number of benefits in aiding weight loss, such as increased feelings of satiety, and fibre has a great deal of benefits that go beyond just digestive health! We digest fibre more slowly, which means we tend to feel fuller quicker, and for longer too. Both good news if you’re trying to lose weight! To help you out, our exante meal replacements are designed to be rich in protein and fibre, ensuring you’re feeling fuller for longer.

Not Drinking Enough Water

Drinking plenty of water while trying to lose weight is incredibly important to ensure you stay hydrated. Water can also help you to feel fuller for longer too, as it contributes towards reduced hunger and calorie intake. We recommend drinking around 2-4 litres a day while following your exante plan.

Drinking High Calorie Drinks

Many people tend to reduce their calorie intake food-wise, but fail to appreciate not keeping an eye on what they drink can be be of the biggest weight loss mistakes beginners make. This is because what they drink can also be packed with calories too – fizzy drinks being the worst culprit!

We hope we’ve given you some insight into those common weight loss mistakes you can make on your weight loss journey, as well as a few ways to fix them.
