Why do we have Pancake Day?

Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, always falls exactly 40 days before Easter and was traditionally a great way to use up all leftover eggs, milk and flour before Lent. Nowadays, however, Pancake Day is typically an excuse to eat some tasty pancakes with all our favourite toppings! 

What are some healthy pancake recipes?

Okay now for the important stuff. How can you make the tastiest pancakes while still being health-conscious? Look no further than our super simple low calorie pancakes, made with our Meal Replacement Pancakes- the easiest way to perfect your pancakes in less than 10 minutes!  

Fruity Stack

Light, crispy and totally delicious, these low calorie pancakes are a must-have for your Shrove Tuesday celebrations...

What you’ll need to make 1-2 crepes:   

Making the Pancakes:   

  • Put 2 scoops or 1 sachet of Pancake Mix into a bowl  
  • Add 100ml of water   
  • Whisk to form a batter   
  • Pour your mixture into a preheated pan   
  • Cook for 3 minutes on one side  
  • Flip and cook for a further minute on the other side  
  • Remove the crepe and top with syrup and fresh fruit of your choosing 

Banana and Maple American-style Pancakes

Love your pancakes extra fluffy? Look no further than our low calorie American Pancakes, stack them and drizzle with our sugar free Raspberry Syrup for the ultimate American Stack!  

What you’ll need:  

  • Pancake Mix of your choosing   
  • 75ml cold water  
  • exante sugar free Maple Syrup  
  • Banana pieces for topping

How to make Banana and Maple American Pancakes:   

  • Add 2 scoops of Pancake & Waffle Mix into a bowl   
  • Add 75ml cold water  
  • Whisk the mixture until it forms a thick batter   
  • Spoon the mixture into a preheated pan   
  • Cook for 3 minutes on one side  
  • Flip and cook for a further minute on the other side  
  • Drizzle your sugar free syrup, top with chopped banana and enjoy 
Crepes
You will need:
  • Any exante Pancake Mix of your choosing
  • 90ml water
  • Flavour Drops
  • Toppings of your choice
Method:
  1. Mix the pancake mix with the water - try shaking in your exante shaker with ball whisk for a smooth batter!
  2. Add 1-2 drops of flavour drops for an even sweeter taste, without the calories
  3. Heat a large flat frying pan and spray lightly with low calorie oil
  4. Once piping hot, pour the batter in the pan
  5. Once the bubbles form on the top, use a spatula to flip!
  6. Cook both sides before transferring onto a plate.
  7. Top with toppings and enjoy!
